This release was a reissue of the original album and followed on from Rosebud's resissue of From Gardens Where We Feel Secure.

The CD packaging was slightly altered and failed to reproduce the quality of the original. The sleeve colours are washed out and the lyrics have been dropped from the sleeve notes.

My Smallest Friend features Virginia's daughter Florence on backing vocals.

Blue Sky, White Sky was co-written with Kate St John (originally one-third of The Ravishing Beauties). The song is based on a theme by Mozart.

How I Miss You uses part of the melody that Virginia used in the theme music to a 1989 Channel 4 TV programme called The World Of Herbs.
