Although Virginia was signed to Why-Fi at the time, she took time out to perform on this album.

It's generally regarded that Virginia plays piano on Slit Skirts,The Sea Refuses No River and Prelude. Virginia also commented in a radio interview that she had played synthesiser on the album, although its not clear on which tracks.

The album features some familiar names: Tony Butler played bass while Mark Brzezicki played snare drum for the track Angels Crying which appears on Virginia's 1982 debut EP A Bao A Qu. Peter Hope-Evans played harmonica on the track Arctic Death, also on the A Bao A Qu EP.

Both Slit Skirts and The Sea Refuses No River also appear on Pete Townshend's compilation album Coolwalkingsmoothtalkingstraightsmokingfirestoking.

Virginia's connection with Pete Townshend is actually through family - her sister was formerly married to Pete Townshend.

Tony Butler (who also played on the album) and Mark Brzezicki are probably better known as members of the band Big Country.
