Virginia playing flute on the track Mirrors. Dave Ball commented in a music press article that Virginia had contributed to more than one track during the recording, although there are no details on which songs (or if they were actually used for the album).

Other musicians involved on this release included Gini Hewes (violin, viola) and Anne Stephenson (violin).

Dave Ball was originally one-half of 80's synth-pop duo Soft Cell along with Marc Almond and this album marked his solo debut.
